The Battle of Flintrock – A Tragic Ballad
[Verse 1]
In the shadow of Flintrock where cold winds weep
Two armies gathered, their silence deep
Banners rose bright in the reddening sky
For kings and their crowns they would bleed and die
The fields burned red as the pale dawn came
With iron in heart and honor in name
Brothers in spirit before blades were drawn
Bound now to fight till the last light was gone
[Chorus]
Oh Flintrock, Flintrock, where brave men fell
A kingdom’s pride and a sorrowful knell
Not foes but mirrors in armor they stand
Yet kings made them enemies across the same land
[Verse 2]
From northern hills came the iron-clad line
Oaths forged in frost and faith in the sign
From southern vales rode banners of gold
Young hearts chasing stories of glory untold
The rulers looked down from their distant halls
Two lions too proud to answer the calls
While far on the field where the red grass lay
The soldiers would pay for the words kings say
[Chorus]
Oh Flintrock, Flintrock, where brave men fell
A kingdom’s pride and a sorrowful knell
Not foes but mirrors in armor they stand
Yet kings made them enemies across the same land
[Bridge]
The sun climbed high through the smoke and the flame
The rivers ran dark with the cost of their name
And there in the dust where the wounded lay
They saw in each other the price they must pay
A northern knight clasped a southern hand
Two dying men in a shattered land
“No greater foe sits here today—
The throne stands far while we fade away.”
[Chorus]
Oh Flintrock, Flintrock, where brave men fell
A kingdom’s pride and a sorrowful knell
Not foes but mirrors in armor they stand
Yet kings made them enemies across the same land
[Outro]
When silence returned and the ravens flew low
No victor remained on the blood-soaked row
The kings rode home with their pride the same
But Flintrock remembers the cost of their name

[Final Chorus]
Oh Flintrock, Flintrock, remember them well
The sons of two kingdoms who silently fell
Not enemies truly, though banners were drawn
Just brothers who fought till the last light was gone
