Urgan Wyrmbane
(Orc War Chant of the Iron Clans)
[War Call – Leader]
Who climbs the Crag where the fire-winds howl?
[Warriors]
URGAN! URGAN!
[Leader]
Who breaks the throne of the Flame-King foul?
[Warriors]
URGAN WYRMBANE!
[Leader]
Who brings the dragon to iron and grave?
[Warriors]
URGAN THE BRAVE!
[Verse 1]
At Dragon’s Crag where the black storms wake,
Where the fire-rivers boil and the stone gods shake,
There strode an orc with a skull-splitter raised—
Urgan Wyrmbane, the clan-fire praised.
Tusks like iron, eyes like flame,
All the war-halls knew his name.
The clans all whispered, “None can stand—
The Flame-King rules this cursed land.”
But Urgan roared to the thunder sky:
“Tonight the fire-wyrm dies!”
[Chorus – War Chant]
URGAN! URGAN!
CRAG-CLIMBER!
URGAN! URGAN!
DRAGON-SLAYER!
Raise the drums and the war horns rave—
Sing of the wrath of Urgan the Brave!
URGAN WYRMBANE!
[Verse 2]
Up the wyrm-road carved in stone,
Where the ash-winds moaned like a dying throne,
He climbed through smoke and the dragon’s breath,
Walking the narrow road of death.
Behind him marched the ghost-clan host—
Every warrior slain by the wyrm-king’s boast.
Their battle-sweat stained the mountain red,
Their whispers marched with the living and dead.
The fire-serpent stirred in his gold-filled cave.
And the mountain trembled.
[Chorus – War Chant]
URGAN! URGAN!
SKULL-BREAKER!
URGAN! URGAN!
FIRE-TAKER!
Beat the shields till the stone gods wake—
Sing of the wyrm-bane, Crag-Breaker!
[Bridge – Drum Chant]
Fire met iron.
Claw met blade.
Stone cracked open
The war gods made.
Flame-serpent roared—
Night burned red—
One stood living.
One lay dead.
[Verse 3]
When the sun rose pale on Dragon’s Crag,
And the smoke-winds carried the battle’s flag,
The fire-wyrm’s bones lay split and slain—
The Flame-King broken by Urgan’s bane.
No gold he took.
No throne he claimed.
He left the hoard where the dragon lay—
For freedom was the clan’s own pay.
And still the war-halls shout his name.
[Final War Chant]
URGAN! URGAN!
WYRMBANE!
URGAN! URGAN!
DRAGON’S PAIN!
Raise the horns and the banners wave—
Sing of the fury of Urgan the Brave!
URGAN! URGAN!
URGAN WYRMBANE!
