Bellemaine
Our rooms were comp’d.Innkeeper talks of a quartermaster that may have help and horses. Gildas sets out for the library and the lore center to research the wells.
The Library
Brigit, Fabian, and Roon seek out the quartermaster and the stables
Mikani, Gildas and Corvinas go to the library. Gilfdas looks for information on the wells. Finds a book that was written during the age of discovery on the subject. Thetre is an island off Mihundra that is militaristic in nature. Hannidal is the capital and is the birthplace of magic and home to half devils that keep to themselves.
Corvinas finds a book on devil hierarchy that is mainly organizational and doesn’t really help much more.
Mikani seeks information on the dark forces and finds a book on primordial chaos that she can’t read as it is written in primordial language. Gildas helps out by casting comprehend languages and a name – chaotix – the only god to be demoted from his station as a god. There is a prophecy of the elementals when the world forgets the forces of chaos will come to and destroy all that they created. The book talks about the Elemental Cataclysm which is brought by controlling all the wells of magic. Primordial chaos and Primordial Arcana created it all and all the wells are born of both types of magic.
The Stables
Meanwhile, myself, Brigit and Fabian and Roon got the stables and found the quartermaster’s office. They talk to Aracokin, the quartermaster. He mentions he could go with the party to survey the site and provide protection in return. Leaving tomorrow morning at the King’s Gate in the west. Hands over a city map. He also points out the Queen’s Gate in the North and tells us to meet at the gate in the morning. The quartermaster is questioned about Jen and the druid commune and he provides some details including the name of a naturalist quartermaster that could help us further named Thompson. He lives near the farms in the southeast section of the city. We travel there and notice along the way that the place is populated with hearty and buff elves. We find Thompson and he talks about Jennifer. He mentions the commune is very natural and has lots of powerful druids, however, he doesn’t know much because “I only deliver stuff.” He does offer up that Jennifer has a weird way of speaking and that she appreciates kindness and acts towards her community. Mikani asks about learning at the commune with the nature book.

Back at the Inn
I busk away with a few songs and seem to have a growing fan base that is becoming noticeable. Brigit gets rip roaring drunk at the bar.
Corvinas goes to the library and finds in the back corner marked free is a book “The World’s History” by Pogo Hammerstein. It is a huge book detailing world history.
Gildas goes to the library and finds history about Bellemaine and finds written down stories from the ancient oral tradition. Elves of Bellemain have an affinity towards ordered magic and not fey magic. The city was built on the site of an old wood elf community and we learn information on the city on the edge of the ?? mountains where on-going archeology is happening. Bellemaine’s origins are from the wood elves.
Roon hangs out with Brigit and Mikani. Half giant offers to arm wrestle Roon and Roon fights him almost winning but in the end loses 5gp.Roon asks the big fellow about the local situation. The half-giant mentions cult activity and not much corruption in the government. The cult activity has popped up recently and is seen all around, probably due to the great cataclysm. His name is Rebar.
We end up the night sleeping

The City is Attacked
Corvinas and Gildas hear what ends up being a construct attacking the city. Gildas wakes everyone else up. He also sends out Ewe and casts detect magic. He sees a person near the construct holding up an orb similar to the one Gildas captured earlier. They are about 500 feet from us. The “controller” sprouts elemental arms and Brigit takes a long shot but misses. We scramble towards the construct and the controller.Gildas shoots a fireball from his hands and hits both the controller and the elemental. The controller casts but misses twice due to mage armor and shield that Gildas has. The controller attacks Roon and Roon is burned by massive acid damage. Mikani calls down lightning bolts from the sky and hits the controller repeatedly. I cast Crown of Madness but the controller is unaffected. I begin to play an inspiring song of the archmage Gilgamesh and Gildas gets inspired. Brigit gets another shot off and hits the controller and then she melts into the shadows. Corvinas prays and lays hands on Roon as his divine inspiration spreads healing through Roon. He then turns with fire in his eye and his blade ignites with searing fire. Roon rages and hits the controller twice. The construct then turns attention to Roon and misses once with his arm but connects with the other and Roon is hit with a massive fist.
