The Day in Bentrios
We awake the next day and secure transportation to return to Thisaway and the Fey forest to return the axe. As we approach the Fey forest, we see a large lizard attacking the edge of the forest.
Attacking the raging lizard
I immediately spring into action in attack mode screaming, “In battle’s rage, my song will rise!” The party begrudgingly follows. Brigit hits it with a short bow shot into its flank. Gildas casts a spell that causes grease to form under the large lizard which causes the beast to slip and fall. Roon hits it with a crossbow which causes the massive creature to roar. Roon is overwhelmed by the sound and is startled. I hit the beast hard with my rapier and Makani casts a spell that causes Roon to glow with a magical shield. Corvinas sprints forward to engage. The lizard manages to get onto its feet again and grabs Corvinas in its massive maw, chomping Corvinas and lifting him off the ground. The beast slips again, releasing Corvinas. Brigit fires another short bow arrow into the beast. Gildas backs away as Roon shoots it with another bolt from his crossbow. I skewer it again with my rapier and Makani shoots a god inspired magical bolt into it. Corvinas heals himself and casts a magical shield as well on himself, trying to repair some of the wicked damage caused by this creature. The creature lashes out with his tail and connects with me, bringing me near to death with the crushing blow. I fell. Brigit hits it and Gildas shoots a firebolt into it. Roon fires his crossbow again, but misses. I stand and deal the killing blow to the creature. I stand over the beast victorious! We set up a hasty camp and heal. We set up watches for the night and have a very quiet series of watches through the night.

Return to Thisaway
Dawn breaks and three centaurs approach and we briefly discuss the Alliance of Stars and find that they follow Tessa the goddess of space. We end up in Thisaway and go immediately to the tree and are allowed in without question from the guards. We find Cleras reading as normal in the library and we return the axe. We also ask to talk to the well of magic below the tree and ask some questions about the other wells. Cleras grants us access to the well and mentions that while we are down there, he will research the library for anything in the presence or details about the other wells. Roon decides to go to a pub instead of following the party into the well.
The Well
The party descends down a spiral staircase and Gildas opens a door revealing a large cave with a huge 40 foot circular opening in the middle of the floor. There is a slight whisper of voice emanating from the bottom of the well. A face forms over the opening, incorporated by the various mists that were swirling above the pool. Gildas speaks to the face and says it is our hope to save as many people as we can when the wells open and the cataclysm begins. Gildas attempts to recall any arcane knowledge about the wells and we ask this well if they can provide any guidance on averting the pending cataclysm. The face responds, “I don’t know my siblings well” and proceeds to provide information on the location of one of the wells, stating that “it is in the heart of the gale in a monastery of the open hand.” We know that Po is the god of unarmed combat and probably the deity associated with the monastery in the heart of the gale. We also ask about the number of wells. The well responds, “I have five siblings”. We also know that going directly south is the fastest way to get to the gale. The well also mentions that all wells are bound to tell the truth at all times. This well is connected to nature - the divine god of nature. To close a well one needs a single artifact – the wand of wells. The last known user of the wand of wells is Jennifer. This well’s name is Khorag and mentions finally, “One of you are lying by omission”
The Tavern
Roon makes his way to the entertainment sector and the tavern he frequented before. He talks turkey with the military hanging out in the tavern and finds that the guards use a strategy of stealth and observation to protect Thisaway. Roon has a bit too much to drink as he continues to talk to the Corporal of the guard. Soon bells ring out in the street outside. The corporal immediately springs into action mentioning that the city is under attack. Roon goes with them. The sky that was formerly clear and blue is now choked with dark clouds. Roon and the corporal head to the barracks. Lightning begins to erupt from the clouds striking the ground. Roon falls off his horse and it gallops off. He sets off on foot trailing the corporal
Return from the Well
We emerge from the well into the library and Claris throws us a tome and hecasts defensive spells around the library. We head towards the tavern and see the storms and hear laughter coming from the clouds. Gildas’ owl senses a creature in the clouds, as storms rage and winds swirl. Gilda’s familiar is knocked from the sky due to the winds. We met up outside the tree. We went inside as a full party once again. Gildas tells Cleris about what we saw outside and he asks us to defend the tree as best we can. A human appears looking somewhat beaten up. He has a robe of an archmage and a staff of lightning in his hand. He calls himself Ardema of the seven seals and we know him to be a warlock. Mikani casts a few spells at him to no effect. We prepare to do battle.
