Session Three - 3/9/25

The Battle of the Fey Witch
The witch summons two goblins to fight for her. Roon and Corvinas take one of the two creatures down quickly. I cast Crown of Madness to no effect on the witch. I followed that up with Dissonnant Whispers and hurt her pretty badly. Roon and I hit her with an opportunity attack as she retreats. The witch counters with magic missiles and brings me to an inch of death. She then goes invisible. Gildas casts grease where she was last seen. Makani kills the goblin with her spiritual weapon. The party tries desperately to find where the witch has literally disappeared to. Corvinas lays hands on me, bringing me back to health. The witch suddenly reappears near Gildas and we all respond by attacking hard. She hits Roon for a killing blow that brings him to death’s door. The party responds with a furious attack and we are able to bring Roon back with healing and Corvinas has the killing blow on her, as he cleaved her head from her body. Her remains turn to dust leaving behind a satchel that appears to contain nothing. Gildas casts detect magic and show s illusion and aberration. The bag is poked with a stick and I even threw a copper piece into it. The copper piece appears to disappear into the bag. We dump the bag over. It empties. The copper piece clinks out along with some souls that fly out and an ancient looking tome. I collect my copper piece and Gildas checks out the tome. It appears to be necromantic and ancient.
